Modes of Admission

Admission into Form One: Students seeking admission into Form One are required to sit for the Common Entrance Examination organised by Sunrise College of Technology. This provides the College with an opportunity to assess the learner's academic foundation and determine their readiness for secondary education.

Admission into Form Two and Above: Students seeking admission into Form Two and higher levels are admitted through file study. Their previous academic records, school reports and other relevant documents are carefully examined to determine their eligibility and appropriate level of placement.
General Criteria
To ensure that every student can fully participate in classroom learning and practical training, admission into Sunrise College of Technology is guided by the following criteria:

English Language Proficiency: The student must be able to speak, understand, read and write English, as English is the principal language of instruction at Sunrise.

Academic Eligibility: The applicant must possess the academic qualification required for the level or programme they wish to pursue.

Interest in Technical and Professional Education: The student should demonstrate a genuine interest in technical, vocational, commercial or professional training and be willing to learn through both theory and practical activities.

Commitment to Learning: Students admitted to Sunrise are expected to show a willingness to work hard, attend classes regularly, complete assignments and participate actively in practical sessions.

Discipline and Good Conduct: Applicants must be prepared to respect the rules, regulations, staff and fellow students of the College and contribute positively to a safe and respectful learning environment.
